The International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People comes this year as humanity stands before one of the most brutal and tragic catastrophes in modern history. A tragedy whose pain is not eased by the passage of time, nor can its truth be erased despite all attempts to distort it. For it is rewritten every day with the blood of innocent civilians, the tears of children beneath the rubble of destroyed homes in the Gaza Strip, the voices of Palestinians resisting oppression in the West Bank, and the suffering of seven million refugees who have endured the bitterness of exile for more than seven decades, waiting for the right of return—recognized by the United Nations yet never implemented.
Gaza’s Tragedy… A Genocide in Full View of the World
In the past two years, the Gaza Strip has witnessed one of the most horrific humanitarian disasters of our time. Civilians have been subjected to mass killings, relentless bombardment, deliberate starvation, and the deprivation of water, medicine, and electricity. No safe zones remained, and no distinction was made between a child, woman, or elderly person—an explicit violation of all international laws, compounded by global silence and the persistent use of the U.S. veto to block any attempt to halt the massacres or hold perpetrators accountable.
The West Bank… Daily Repression Intensifying Under Settler Violence
The West Bank has not been spared. Daily raids, arrests, settlement expansion, home demolitions, land confiscation, and systematic attacks against civilians have become part of everyday life for Palestinians. Residents live under an oppressive system that deprives them of basic security and dignity, amid the largest wave of illegal settlement expansion in modern history.
Seven Million Refugees… A Wound That Never Heals and a Hope That Never Dies
No discussion of solidarity with the Palestinian people is complete without acknowledging the seven million refugees living in neighboring countries and across the diaspora—carrying the keys to homes from which they were forcibly displaced in 1948. These refugees continue to wait for the implementation of the UN-recognized Right of Return, a legal and inalienable right. Yet political obstruction—primarily due to U.S. positions—continues to prevent its realization, prolonging the suffering of millions who have lived without a homeland for over 76 years.
The Palestinian Cause… A Human Struggle Before a Political One
The Palestinian cause is not merely a political conflict; it is a profound human struggle rooted in justice, dignity, and the rejection of racial discrimination and oppression. For decades, the Palestinian people have endured occupation, displacement, violence, and repeated massacres. Despite this, they have shown the world that the will of a people committed to their rights is stronger than any weapon, and that Palestinian identity cannot be erased.
The resilience of Palestinians—in Gaza, the West Bank, the occupied interior, and the diaspora—reflects an undeniable human strength: the power of belief in justice, the defense of dignity, and the insistence on life despite all attempts at annihilation and displacement.
The Position of the International Shield Organization
The International Shield Organization reaffirms its unwavering commitment to defending the rights of the Palestinian people in all international forums. The organization emphasizes:
– The necessity of ending the occupation in all its forms.
– The immediate lifting of the suffocating blockade on the Gaza Strip.
– Holding accountable all those responsible for war crimes and crimes against humanity committed against civilians.
– Holding settlers accountable for their violations of international norms and laws in the West Bank.
– Protecting Palestinian refugees and ensuring their legal right to return to their homeland.
– Supporting all efforts aimed at achieving justice, dignity, and freedom for the Palestinian people.
Solidarity with the Palestinian people is not a yearly occasion; it is a moral and humanitarian obligation that must live in the conscience of every free human being. The Palestinian cause is the gateway to global justice and peace—a cause through which truth prevails over power and humanity triumphs over oppression.
A Global Humanitarian Call
On this day, and at this pivotal moment in human history, the International Shield Organization calls on all people of conscience around the world to transform solidarity from words into action, from slogans into meaningful positions, and to stand firmly with the Palestinian people in their struggle for freedom, dignity, and the right to life.
The International Shield Organization will always remain committed to defending Palestinian rights. The Palestinian cause will continue to serve as a beacon of justice, a voice of freedom, and an enduring symbol of human resilience—affirming that Palestine is the gateway to global peace.
