SHIELD International has received an official invitation from the Council of Europe via the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) to participate in the international conference titled:
“Shaping Democratic Renewal: Civil Space and the Path Towards a New Democratic Charter for Europe”, scheduled to take place in Strasbourg, France, on 2–3 February 2026.
The conference aims to strengthen the role of civil society and ensure effective participation of organisations in shaping the new European Democratic Charter. It will bring together representatives from civil society, Council of Europe member states, and international institutions in dialogue sessions conducted in English and French, with simultaneous interpretation and live streaming provided.
